7/15/2008 - As we get closer to the fall campaign, more time will be spent
walking precincts meeting voters or dropping off literature at a voter's home.
This will continue into our fall campaign as well.

Shortly after the primary, the campaign sent a letter to Representative Watson's
local district office asking for a series of debates between then and October in
order to better inform the people of our stands on the various issues. It has been
over 1 month since this letter was mailed and there has been no response from her
district office, let alone the representative herself. Today, the campaign is sending out
out a letter taking her to task for her failure to reply and to once again call for at least 1
debate before the absentee ballots are sent out. This debate should occur no later than
the weekend of September 18-19 to allow news organizations time to cover it. This is also the weekend before the absentee voter ballots are sent out. If she doesn't reply to this letter,
then I will send copies of both letters to all news organizations in the Los Angeles area
along with a press release that calls her a coward for not replying to the letters and for
hiding from the constituents of the California 33rd Congressional District.

SPECIAL NEWS
On July 8th, David Crowley was selected as an alternate for the Republican
47th Assembly District Central Committee. He is the alternate for outgoing
chairperson Cathy McLaughlin. His term as alternate expires in January of 2009.


CALENDAR

8/30-31/2008 - We will be at the La Ballona Festival helping the 47th Assembly
District Central Committee (Rep.) with Voter Registration. This is an excellent
chance to meet the candidate and talk with him before the election. If you have
recently moved or wish to change your party affiliation, here is an excellent
opportunity to do so. We hope to see you there!

Daily until 11/04/2008 - Precinct walking through the 33rd district. David Crowley
will be meeting and talking with the constituents of the district in 1 - 4 different
polling precincts every day. Air your views about the "do-nothing" incumbent,
what YOU expect from a representative and talk about the issues affecting your life.
