I don’t get why learning chord will let me play a song? Cause i mean isn’t it like learning to play by ear? Also what are the step to learn to play guitar without compelling lesson. So far i can read tab and play them. Now i wanna know do i just keep on playing new songs ? what are scale and chord for ?

Sooo I’m teaching myself guitar and its inane fine so far but I’m trying to play down by jay sean and I have all the chords down except I searched all over the internet, youtube videos etc how to play a B chord because the Down tutorials are horrible.
Can anyone just tell me how [fret, string, finger digit] to play a simple B chord
PLEASE?

I was watching an video tutorial of how to play a certain song and the guy was playing C, and then he said walk down to A minor, then he walked down to G. How do you “walk down” to change chords? Does guitar player out there know what I’m talking about?

I’ve been working on barre chords for about 2 days now. I can’t seem to get it right …
My hand is strained because I’ve been trying to squeeze it really hard. That is the only way it works most of the time. Does anyone have any tips or tutorials for them that they know work? online or just type it.

I’ve been reading tabs for the past few weeks and I reckon it would be a excellent thought to start learning chords.

What sites have excellent chord-tutorials and such?

I play piano and i write songs. i want to know some basic chords for guitar, like c, a minor, f minor, and g, so i can add a small to my songs. where’s a excellent tutorial? cause i tried using online chord charts and i’m not really understanding them… thanks
