I know that Lars Ulrich was a self-taught drummer, and Kirk Hammett took lessons from Joe Satriani. How about James Hetfield? He’s a monster at the guitar and he’s awesome at writing beastly riffs.

I personally prefer Dio. Even though I think OZZY was great, DIO was more of a serious Heavy Metal God. Dio wrote songs that really made you think. To me DIO had a more serious approach to the music.

Iconic metal frontman Ronnie James Dio will be honored in a public memorial service Sunday, May 30, in Los Angeles.
