Playing electric guitar and singing don’t seem to be a problem – but when I’m playing electric bass I cannot sing a lot of songs. It seems that a lot of times bass playing counters what’s life sung or comes in timing that just doesn’t mesh with singing. Songs like “Stray Cat Strut” with an even beat and the words sung on each beat are honestly simple to sing and play bass on at the same time. Do you have any suggestions for other Rock & Roll songs that I can learn to sing and play bass at the same time? Thanks.

I’ve been learning violin for 6 years. Will it be simple to learn how to play the guitar? I’m not very excellent with chords, so would it be harder to learn? How long do you reckon it would take me to learn guitar?

For someone who has played both instruments, which was harder?

I want to make two recordings of piano composition sound like they are life heard from an ancient radio a few feet away (sort of like a memory I guess). I know there are many ways to do this. I do not have any composition editing programs on my PC. Which ones should I get (preferably free) and what do I need to do to the mp3 file?

If one of you want to do it yourselves, I can send the mp3s to you and you can do it I guess.

I’d like to increase my guitar playing, while also expanding my ‘song library’.

I ongoing learning guitar back in ’06, and I’ve never had lessons. Just taught myself, as many have. I ongoing with a book on the fundamentals and then just ongoing learning songs. I never really got too deep into the theory of it all, but I plot to. I bought I composition theory book that I will be inane owing to soon. I sometimes go back to the fundamental drills and scales to refresh my memory and keep a solid foundation.

I feel like I’ve not really improved on my skills at all. I don’t learn many songs completely. I don’t tend to memorize songs well, or stab with them. I’ve been playing mostly Bright Eyes songs lately, and they aren’t that impressive when it comes to the instrumentals.

My questions would be:
1). How should I go about improving my guitar skills and build up from where I am?

2). I’d like to learn to play different genres of composition and have some ‘classics’ in my ‘guitar song library’. What are some excellent songs to learn?

3). This question is somewhat similar to question #2: What are some goods songs to learn that will impress people? Beginner/Intermediate level would be best, but, if you know some really excellent songs that are maybe a bit harder, list them as well, because it’ll give me something to build up to and work on.

4). Are their any excellent YouTube videos out there, or FREE videos on other websites, that have excellent guitar lessons/tutorials that I should check out?

Last thing: I wrote all of this about guitar, as that is my main instrument, but these questions apply to bass as well. I’m very much a novice on the bass. My brother bought one and was supposed to learn it, but he never did, so I took over it and just ongoing learning random songs.

Im running a cracked version of AoE 2, plays fine and when i play composition and then open AoE the composition softens to nearly nothing. How can i fix this please?

I’m not sure exactly what notes and fills to use when accompanying myself singing songs such as “Ancient Time Rock and Roll” and other similar rock/pop songs. I am an advanced pianist technically, but my improvisation skills are not as strong. I know and know which chords to play for the songs, but I don’t completely know which “bluesy” notes fit and when to use them when doing piano fills and soloing to make the piano accompaniment more fascinating. Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.

Besides involved a lot , like websites, or tutorials!
