What music copyright laws apply if you work for a public University and want to email a video?
I work for a public University and we are making a fundraising video to send via email to our alumni (less than 9,000 people). As we are picking out composition to play in the social class of the video, can we just use any MP3 or do we need to be strict of copyright infringement. I’m not sure about the usage laws. Thank you!

Iconic metal frontman Ronnie James Dio will be honored in a public memorial service Sunday, May 30, in Los Angeles. The singer, known for his time fronting the post-Ozzy Osbourne version of Black Sabbath and for his own solo career, passed away last weekend from complications of stomach cancer. He was 67.
