My Grandma and I want to take guitar lessons together (eaisier for transportation) but she has an acoustic guitar and I have an electric.

My small brother wants to start guitar lessons and has the choice to learn either acoustic or electric. I reckon that acoustic would be better for someone who’s new to playing guitar but then again I’ve never played that instrument. He, but would like the electric guitar. So, for anyone with some guitar encounter, which do you reckon is more suited for a beginner, electric or acoustic?

I just bought an acoustic guitar, and I am wondering, if I practice for 30-45 minutes a day, how long it will take roughly before I can in fact play songs vs my currently compelling 20 seconds to get my fingers in the C-chord position, then another 20 to go to A.

I know it depends on the person’s musical ability and natural talent and stuff, I am just curious to see how long it took other people who have learned guitar.

Im gonna start learning guitar sometime soon and I wanted to know how long on average it would take to get enough skill to play that type of composition. I do have musical encounter. I played alto saxophone for 2 years in school beginning and advanced band.

We bought her a guitar for her birthday with the understanding she would take lessons as soon as we could meet the expense of it,Well now we can and she said she does not want to learn.Is it incorrect to force her to take lesson or at least make her go to see how it is?

About 2 months ago i ongoing learning how to play guitar. I’m teaching myself so it’s a small more stressful, but i in fact learned a lot in those months. I’m starting a band with my friend and I want to know how long will it take for me to be ready to play lead or rhythm guitar?

I’ve been learning violin for 6 years. Will it be simple to learn how to play the guitar? I’m not very excellent with chords, so would it be harder to learn? How long do you reckon it would take me to learn guitar?

For someone who has played both instruments, which was harder?
