I’ve been learning violin for 6 years. Will it be simple to learn how to play the guitar? I’m not very excellent with chords, so would it be harder to learn? How long do you reckon it would take me to learn guitar?

For someone who has played both instruments, which was harder?

They use it as bumper composition all the time.

Please give opinions on this…it was announced a couple days ago, that Radiohead have chose to release their new baby book, called “In Rainbows”, on just their website…and here’s the kicker…it costs WHATEVER YOU WANT IT to cost. The only mandatory fee is 90 cents for the credit card transaction. Or if you feel they deserve it, you can pay 100 dollars for it. They’re leaving it up to their fans, to choose what their composition is worth to them. Obviously, this is REALLY making the huge record companies mad, because they’re worried it will make their mandatory-priced 20 dough cd’s seem overpriced. But here’s the amusing thing; early reports are that fans are paying, on average, about 15 dollars…nearly full cost for a storebought cd. So the question is- regardless of what you reckon of Radiohead specifically- what do you reckon of their IDEA? They’re basically trusting their fans, to pay no matter what they reckon is honest. Like the thought? Dislike? Reckon it’s suicide? Or brilliant?

If I practice every day and have a lesson once a week, how long will it take for me to become really excellent? I already know how to read composition (I play the violin and the piano), and I already have an acoustic guitar. I know this question should be in the composition section, but I wanted to place this question in the youthful section to see what people my age have to say about this.

Also: Is there anyone here who plays the guitar and is excellent? How long have you been playing the guitar for? How long did it take you before you became excellent at the guitar?

We here at Lehigh Valley Composition avoid Best Song and Best Baby book of the Year lists because this blog is supposed to be about local composition – or at least the local perspective on composition. We’ll leave those lists to our acquaintances at Tribune, who will present year-end lists, well, at the end of the year.

I reckon his top 4 songs would have to be:

1. No More Tears
2. I don’t wanna stop
3. I Don’t Know
4. Paranoid- Ozzy w/ black sabbath

I woulda hit that, personally.

And do you reckon they will ever be induced?

They were right pioneers in the genre of Electronic dance composition and greatly influenced Hip Hop, Techno, and other forms of well loved composition.

I’m talking about the one where nobody can know his speech,so he has to text everything. (Esp since his real talking isn’t as terrible as they made it seem on the commercial)
