With an electric tuner. No tutorials are any clad and it keeps saying my strings are not what they should say… they are inane : 6E , 5A , 5A , 36 , 2:8 , 2:8. I managed to tune 2 strings to sound exactly the same so I gave up after the 3rd string.

i try and i try to tune my guitar into drop C and everytime i follow a tutorial on youtube or off the net i always end up tightnin a string too tight and it snaps and i get right pissed.

does anyone have a excellent way simple way to do this without contravention the strings?!

My guitar tuner says that the guitar is in tune but I reckon it sounds out of tune. Why is this? I’ve been watching some tutorial videos about finger plucking, but when I do it, it sounds completely different to what its like on the video even though I have all the fingering right and stuff. Is there something incorrect with my guitar?

I’ve been playing the intro & first guitar solo of Sweet Child o’ Mine – GN’R, and I realized that Slash tunes his guitar a half step down.
I don’t know how to do this.
Does anyone know of a tutorial I can use, or can you give reasons for it here?

If it makes a difference I do have a capo and an electric tuner.

I want to learn to play “Somewhere out there” by Our Lady Peace. The guitar tabs say to tune down half a step, but I have no thought what that means. I also haven’t found any tutorial videos or clear tabs to follow yet.
